This Astral Horizontal Sand Filter measures 63 x 75 inches, has 6 inch connections with a filtration area of 32 square feet and features a 100% non-corrosive thermoset composite structure with a gel coat and marine grade finish. All internals and connections are assembled with Schedule 80 PVC. The Commercial Horizontal Filters are manufactured with a patented 9 inch lid-locking system that eliminates the traditional nut and bolt style and provides tool free access. They are equipped with a 2 inch sand drain plug, water drain with media screen, air relief plug and pressure gauge.
Horizontal filters are a great option in tight spaces or equipment rooms with a small footprint. These filters can be stacked to maximize floor space without compromising filtration area. Constructed in the U.S., multiport valves, standard manifold and custom manifold systems as well as filter media are available but sold separately.
