The Abdominal Combined Wound Pad measures 5 x 9 inches and is also known as an ABD or trauma pad. ABD stands for Army Battle Dressing and the pads are used when high absorbency is required to handle heavy draining wounds or large wounds. This sterile ABD pad has a non-woven facing and highly absorbent cotton filler with rayon fibers that diffuse liquid throughout the pad. Hydrophobic backing helps prevent strike through. Sealed edges prevent leakage.
They are packaged in peel down pouches for convenient aseptic handling. These pads keep wounds dry and promote healing.
