The PoolGuard Door Alarm is designed to alert you when a child opens the door to go out to the pool or yard. The Door Alarm will sound in 7 seconds when a child opens the door, and the alarm will continue to sound until an adult comes to the door and resets the alarm. It will still sound the alarm even when the child closes the door. The Door Alarm is always on!
The Door Alarm uses one 9-volt battery (not included) with a battery life of approximately one year. It is equipped with a low battery indicator that will audibly alert you when your battery is getting low. The alarm is equipped with an adult pass through feature that will allow 15 seconds for adults to go through the door without the alarm sounding.
An optional screen door kit can be purchased for the alarm (#PGSD). The screen door kit allows you to get air through your screen door without the alarm sounding. PoolGuard’s inground Pool Alarm is item # PGRM2.
