This is a Legend Wafer-Type PVC Gear Butterfly Valve, Model S-6501, for 8 inch pipe, with EPDM seat and o-rings, and 410 stainless steel stem. Legend Valve Model T-S651 PVC butterfly valves are gear operated. These valves are manufactured with 100% virgin resin and are pressure tested to 180 psi. The full-pattern wafer-style body is lighter than metallic butterfly valves of the same size. This makes installation easier and imposes less stress on pipes.
Recommended for commercial swimming pools, these PVC wafer-style valves have excellent flow characteristics and provide a clear indication of disc position.
