This is a 50 pound bucket of pH Up, a pH increaser, which will effectively increase the pH levels in your swimming pool water. This sodium carbonate product is in granular form. A pool’s pH levels should be maintained between 7.2 and 7.6. When pH levels drop, the water can become corrosive and cause build up of scale.
Active Ingredient of the pH Up: 100% Sodium Carbonate.
Directions for Adding pH Up to Your Swimming Pool:
Add this product directly to the pool water. Always apply with the circulation system operating. Brush any unsettled particles from the surface. If pH is between 6.8 and 7.1, add 1 pound per 10,000 gallons of water directly to the pool. If pH is less than 6.8, apply a total of 1.5 pounds for every 10,000 gallons of water. Apply total amount slowly and evenly over a 30 minute period of time to avoid temporary hazy water. Circulate for 2 hours and retest pH. If pH is below 7.2, apply 1 pound per every 10,000 gallons again. Circulate for 2 hours and retest pH.
Never mix different products together in the same bottle or pail.
