This Astral Vertical Sand Filter 47 Inch Standard Series has 3 inch connections, a filter area of 12.16 square feet, and features a non-corrosive fiberglass and polyester resin filter tank with six reinforced layers of laminated and filament winding. These vertical commercial sand filters hold an NSF listing for a maximum working pressure of 50 psi and a test pressure of 75 psi.
Each vertical sand filter includes manual air purge valve, gauge panel, water drain valve, and large sand drain. They are fitted with collector body laterals and a diffuser made of PVC and polypropylene which allows a max working temperature of 122 degrees F. The man-way is 16 inches in diameter. Tanks are lightweight and can be easily moved with a forklift or pallet jack. Multiport valves, standard and custom manifold systems, semi and fully automated systems, and sand and gravel are all available but sold separately.
