This is an AquaStop 2-1/2 inch Pipe Sleeve Winterizing Cap with O-Ring. The cap is teal and white. Made by AquaStar, this item replaces their original winterizing caps. This cap is also described as a pipe sleeve with threaded slurry seal cap and o-ring. The cap is engineered with a female thread for polypropylene cap and seal gasket.
If you are using this pipe seal during construction of a pool, you would apply cap with PVC glue to the pipe to prevent slurry from going into the pipes. You will remove cap after the pool finish and acid wash the pool. Excess glue will not stick to polypropylene cap.
