The Chemtrol 265 PPM/pH Digital Controller with 4-20 mA outputs features Santa Barbara’s new Chlorine Sensor for Free Chlorine that gives easy-to-use, direct, and reliable readings of Free Chlorine concentration in pool water. The Chemtrol 265 is a microprocessor-based digital controller designed to maintain both Free Chlorine (PPM) and water pH in commercial pools like hotels, motels, health clubs, municipal pools, and municipal water plants as well as well-water. The controller is compatible with all common sanitizers and has long-term reliability. This unit includes the controller, respective probes (pH probe and PPM probe), paddle wheel flow switch, FCA flow cell assembly, PPM cell, and miscellaneous plumbing supplies.
The new PPM sensor is a solid-state sensor with a selective membrane that provides direct readings of Free Chlorine in water at concentrations ranging from 0.1 to 10 ppm (parts per million) or mg/l (milligrams per liter). These are true readings of Free Chlorine and not approximate values derived from ORP readings. Unlike other chlorine sensors on the market, this sensor is simple to install and highly reliable. It does not require expensive reagents and is compatible with cyanuric acid (CYA) at all concentrations. It is so reliable that the sensor carries a two-year warranty.
The Chemtrol 265 Free Chlorine Analyzer automatically maintains both Free Chlorine concentration and pH of the water. All operating functions are clearly labeled and accessible from the front panel, with safety and easy-reset features not found on other controllers.
The Chemtrol 265 is easy to install and simple to operate. The Free Chlorine concentration can be adjusted from 0.0 to 10 ppm (or mg/l) based on local Health Department regulations for the prevention of germs and bacteria (or from 0.01 to 3.00 for low chlorine level applications). The pH control level can be adjusted from 6.0 to 8.0. The standard pH control level is 7.5. Below 7.4, the water is too acidic and causes corrosion. Above 7.6, it is too alkaline and causes scaling, stains, and reduced sanitizer efficiency.
