This DEL UV-C 50 Pool Sanitizer System is hard-wired 120/240 volts, has the inlet/outlet ports on opposite sides, and is for pools up to 50,000 gallons. The DEL UV-C 50 is a high flow system designed for easy single-unit installation. Using the UV-C system destroys harmful contaminants and microorganisms and dramatically reduces chemical usage, yet it increases effectiveness of residual sanitizers.
The DEL UV-C 50 pool sanitizer system is very reliable and easy to service. The unit features an intelligent cover design, ventilated 360 glow ring and a built-in total drain valve. The intelligent cover design cuts power when the cover is removed. A heat shield protects the cover from ballast heat, secures lamp connections and protects from moisture. The patent-pending ventilated 360 glow ring allows air in and keeps moisture out. It also serves as a visual confirmation that the UV lamps are working. And you can service and winterize the UV-C 50 without disconnecting from the system plumbing. The system internals are specially designed to ensure complete drainage.
UV-C is a “clean” technology. The only active disinfectant is rays of light. No additional chemicals, gases or oxidants are added to the water. The UV-C 50 lamp emits safe, high intensity light rays tuned to germicidal 254 nanometers. With the use of UV-C, microorganisms are destroyed, chloramines are broken down, chlorine dependence is significantly reduced, and water clarity is optimized to produce crystal clear results. UV-C water treatment can improve and enhance pool water better than a residual sanitizer alone.
Please note: this system is designed for above water installations. If installed below water, a flow switch (item #EUV-FS-01) is required or the warranty will be voided. This item is sold separately.
