This is a Insider Wall Return Fitting and Vac Receptacle, 1-1/2 inch FIP x 1-1/2 inch socket. This wall fitting is used as a receptacle for any 1-1/2 inch MIP directional flow inlet fitting. You must use the same type of material (cycolac with cycolac, for example). This fitting is comparable with Hayward SP1022INS.
