This is a carton of 4 one gallon containers of PR-10,000 Phosphate Remover by Orenda, the strongest phosphate control product in the industry. PR-10,000 is a highly concentrated, all natural, rare earth phosphate remover. This unique formula reacts with phosphates in your pool water, allowing for the phosphates to be removed. It reacts with all known types of phosphates on contact, and hardens them into a fine precipitate, which falls out of solution. The inert phosphates then floc out, to be vacuumed or filtered out of the pool.
PR-10,000 causes cloudiness, which can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Use as needed and do not exceed the recommended dosage unless otherwise specified (see directions). Because of PR-10,000’s concentration, a little goes a long way. A dose of PR-10,000 may be surprisingly small to you, but watch it work.
Why get rid of phosphates? Phosphates are an essential nutrient for living contaminants in water, like algae. Unlike most other contaminants in water, chlorine cannot remove phosphates, because they do not interact with each other directly. So to reduce phosphate levels, you will need a phosphate remover.
Directions: Just eight (8) fluid ounces can remove up to 2500 parts-per-billion of phosphates in 10,000 gallons of water. We recommend not exceeding 8 fluid ounces per 10,000 gallons for a normal treatment unless otherwise specified. This is recommended because of the impact on filter pressure. When phosphates are removed, there is a fine precipitate that falls out of solution. Too much precipitate at one time can cause high pressure in filters.
Orenda products have a 100 plus year (indefinite) shelf life provided the product does not freeze. For Directions for pools with visible algae: We recommend using PR-10,000 immediately following a chlorine shock. Use 16 fluid ounces per 10,000 gallons for light algae, and a full purge dose of 32 fluid ounces per 10,000 gallons if the algae is severe. The next day, clean the pool and vacuum the dead algae and phosphate precipitate, and purge with CV-600 enzymes. Follow Orenda’s Green Pool Cleanup procedure.
