This is a 25 pound container of pH Down, a pH decreaser, which will effectively decrease the pH levels in your swimming pool water. This sodium bisulfate product is in granular form. A pool’s pH levels should be maintained between 7.2 and 7.6. When pH levels exceed that amount, the water can become cloudy and corrosive which causes a build up of scale.
Active Ingredient of the pH Down: 100% Sodium Bisulfate.
Directions for Adding pH Down to Your Swimming Pool:
Add this product directly to the pool water. Always apply with the circulation system operating. Brush any unsettled particles from the surface. If pH is between 7.7 and 8.0, add 12 ounces per 10,000 gallons of water directly to the pool. If pH is greater than 8.0, apply a 1.5 pounds for every 10,000 gallons of water. Circulate for 2 hours and retest pH. If pH is above 7.6, apply 12 ounces per every 10,000 gallons again. Circulate for 2 hours and retest pH.
Never mix different products together in the same bottle or pail. Pool use may resume 15 minutes after the product has fully dissolved in the pool.
