This is a one gallon can of Olympic Steel Primer No. 219 for use on bare steel pool surfaces. Bare steel must be sandblasted, degreased, and primed immediately. (For galvanized steel, use Olympic No. 220.) Steel Primer No. 219 is also used for priming bare metal surfaces before applying Super Convoy (but not Super Convoy II). (Refer to instructions for application.)
Special care must be taken to ensure the success of coating metal pool surfaces. Aluminum, steel, and galvanized steel all have their special properties which require the selection of the appropriate primer. Bare metal should receive two coats of primer to eliminate pinholes and corrosion.
DO NOT use the primer over an existing coating.
