This is a 25 pound container of alkalinity increaser which will raise the total alkalinity levels in your swimming pool water. This sodium hydrogen carbonate product is in granular form. This chemical is meant to be maintained between 80-120 ppm so that the water does not turn corrosive or create a scale build up.

Directions for Adding DuraChlor Alkalinity Increaser to Your Swimming Pool:
Add 1.4 pounds for every 10,000 gallons of water to increase total alkalinity 10 ppm. Add this product directly to the pool water with the circulation system running. Brush unsettled materials from the surface. Wait two hours and retest total alkalinity. Pool use may resume 15 minutes after the product has fully dissolved into the pool.
NEVER mix different products together in the same bottle or pail. One pound equals 1.75 cups.
