The Varsity Competitor Starting Platform is a low profile platform utilized when less than maximum height above water is preferred. The Varsity Competitor utilizes the dual post Competitor 6 inch anchor system and fits with most pool profiles.
The Varsity Starting Platform Series was originally designed to accommodate the high school ruling of an allowable height above water in some venues of 18 inches. This ruling has changed; however, the coaching community still utilizes this platform to render less than maximum height above water. Each platform frame is a single weldment manufactured of high-grade stainless steel, polished and buffed to a 320 grit finish. All welds are electron-chemically passivated for maximum corrosion resistance. They will not warp, shrink rot or crack.
Competitor Anchor Systems offer the feature of installing the platform without tools. Six (6) inch anchor assembly for setbacks under 30 inches. Fits most pools except those with unusual features.
Varsity Platforms do not include a mounting step. If you would like a mounting step, it must be ordered as an additional item at the time of order. Extra charges for the mounting step(s) apply. (A mounting step is recommended when the “A” dimension is 15 inches or greater.
